I've seen a lot in 84 years, Navy pilot and FBI agent. I just said to my wife that I must be naive in thinking that people witnessing or knowing about such conduct would keep quiet about it. It seems that there is no limit for people who want to protect their position and their careers. I think the problem starts in all hierarchies where those below must act in a way to support and glorify their superiors because they want those positions someday. Once a system deviates from ethics and legality in the pursuit of position and influence, we are lost.
