Palestinian resilience should never be mistaken for some unique superhuman powers. Your heart is my heart. Your body is my body. Your pain is my pain. Empathy is the only thing that makes us all human together.
This is just heartbreaking. We want to think that Palestinians are somehow superhuman and endure all the horror that is inflicted on them. But at the end of the day, we all need to remember they are just human. Just like you and I. 💔

What I believe (my opinion) is that the end result that Isreal wants, is for complete dehumanization & for the Palestinians to turn on one another & others.. To break 💔.
I hope that if there are no elders, in the time of need, the next thing has to be to embody the elders & channel what the elders would do & say.
It is a connection to the highest source 🤲.
Remember that the very purpose of world war two was to get the men who had just gone through it to be aroused & desensitized to violence & use them to invade Palestine & be okay with the sick things they did in all of the villages, like Tantura & many others....
There are no excuses, it is freedom of choice.
It is up to the survivors to keep Humanity 💔 in Gaza 🤲 & all of Palestine.
Isreal cannot win that part.

Everything you say is true Abood. I've been hearing since the beginning of the genocide how resilient Palestinians are. I'm sick of hearing it. No one should be expected to endure genocide. No one should have to endure this hell. Truly it's beyond words.

Dear Abood, I am getting ready to return to my teaching in a week. I teach college students who are going into health work. I don't know how to ask this carefully enough, but I would like to ask rather than assume. I would like to share some of your writing with my students. Last year we read Saada Hamdouna's "A Verse in Used Fabric," about trading semolina for tailoring of her son's pyjamas. It opened a discussion about Gaza with young people, some who know and others, not. If you have an idea about which piece to share (if you agree) or would like to write something about health in your own family, please let me know? And if it is not something you can do, I respect that.
It’s difficult for me to fathom how Palestinians have managed as much as they have. Their will to survive is greater than I can imagine. I know myself, I could never make it through a tiny fraction of the horrors they’ve experienced. Only time will tell how they’ve lived through it. Certainly not now while each day presents new atrocities to face. I only wish there were better ways of helping them from afar. I feel so inadequate in what I have to offer, words, love, compassion, tears, even individual donations don’t seem to come close to what should be possible. I just don’t know what that is, even after so long watching and listening, I still can’t figure it out. I think probably the only real solution is for the insanity to end. But how do we make that happen? The million dollar question.
