In the war-torn streets of Gaza, a young mother named Noor fights daily for the survival of her family of four. As a mother of two young children, including a baby delivered in March of this year, she endures conditions that test the limits of human resilience.
Her husband, gravely injured, can no longer provide for them, leaving the family without income and teetering on the edge of despair.
The newborn requires essential items like milk, diapers, and basic care—needs that remain unmet due to skyrocketing costs and scarcity. The mother herself, recovering from childbirth, desperately needs vitamins and medical follow-up, but these are luxuries far beyond their reach. Compounding the crisis, she battles serious blood-related health issues, with no access to affordable medicine or ongoing treatment.
Her husband’s situation is equally dire: a severe hand injury demands surgery unavailable in Gaza, risking permanent loss of function. He was shot by occupation forces while simply trying to fetch food for their children, resulting in the amputation of two toes and the insertion of a metal plate in his foot. Now reliant on crutches that cost $300—a sum they cannot muster—he struggles even to move.
Daily life is a relentless grind. The mother cooks over an open fire, inhaling smoke that triggers painful chest episodes, yet a safer alternative like a gas stove is prohibitively expensive. Their housing, while currently intact, offers little protection; they live hand-to-mouth, scavenging for food and water amid the siege and ongoing conflict. Clean water is scarce, proper clothing inadequate, and blankets insufficient to shield them from rain. The family lacks even the basics for dignity and safety, with no source of warmth or security against the elements.
In Gaza, the cost of mere survival is staggering. It takes at least $50 per day just to feed a family—covering only the most basic sustenance, without accounting for shelter, medical care, diapers, or other essentials. For this family, every meal is a uncertainty, every day a gamble against starvation and illness.
On this Christmas Day, December 25, 2025—a time traditionally marked by themes of hope, generosity, and compassion—the contrast with their reality could not be starker. While many around the world gather in warmth and celebration, this family faces isolation in a landscape of destruction, pleading for the world not to forget them.
With nearly 4,000 subscribers who have shown incredible support in the past, I implore our community to unite in solidarity. We cannot abandon the people of Gaza in their hour of greatest need. If even a small fraction of us steps forward—say, 100 subscribers committing to donate just $5 a week, the price of a single cup of coffee—we could ensure this family of four does not starve.
That modest collective effort would provide a lifeline, securing food and basics to keep them alive. Stand with Gaza; your action today could mean the difference between survival and tragedy.
Donations have dwindled alarmingly for Noor and her family: the last contribution, £25, came four days ago, with the one before that a full month prior, also £25. Noor expresses profound gratitude to those who have helped before, enabling fleeting moments of relief like food and drink for her children and injured husband.
This is not just a story—it's a urgent call. All she seeks is safety and dignity for her children. Even a small donation can turn the tide. Please, don't leave them alone in this crisis. Help care for the baby, feed the family, and treat the husband before it's too late.

I managed to make it load on the new phone by copying the link sending it to my WhatsApp personal contact and clicking at it from WhatsApp. At one time it worked when i restarted my phone.. the issue seems to be device or settings specific. Hope the above helps
