US Made Bomb Used In UNRWA School Bombing By Israel
US involvement in Israel's genocide of Gaza becomes harder to deny with latest war crime of bombing UN school killing several children with a US made bomb.
A Sky News investigation has revealed that an American-made bomb was used in yesterday’s Israeli strike on a school in Nuseirat refugee camp, located in the central Gaza Strip. The overnight attack resulted in the deaths of 40 people, including 14 children, and wounded 23 more children, bringing the total number of dead and injured close to 200,000.
Experts consulted by Sky News identified a fragment seen in a verified video as part of an American-made, Boeing’s GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB). Rahul Udoshi, a weapons specialist at the defense intelligence company Janes, and Trevor Ball, a former US Army explosive ordnance disposal technician, both confirmed that the fragment was from a GBU-39 bomb.
The GBU-39, a guided glide bomb designed for precise, targeted strikes, is manufactured in the US. According to the SIPRI Arms Transfers Database, 1,000 GBU-39 bombs were delivered to Israel in late 2023, with the shipment expedited by Boeing following the attack on October 7.
The Sky News investigation also debunked false claims circulating on social media that a weapon from India was used in the strike. The object, which was stamped with the word “INDIA,” was identified as a “Screw In Bell Box Hole Plug,” not a component of any military hardware.
US-manufactured munitions were also used in the lethal Israeli air strike on refugees sheltering in tents in Rafah last week. Images of burned children and families emerging from bombed tents shocked and outraged the public. The air strike killed at least 45 people and injured nearly 250 others.
Sky’s investigation is the latest by a mainstream Western media outlet to expose horrific human rights abuses. In May, CNN uncovered gruesome details of abuse, torture, and mistreatment of Palestinians held at Israel’s Sde Teiman detention facility.
Yesterday, the New York Times revealed even more horrific images and reports of Palestinians in detention being subjected to rape. According to the Times, a female officer ordered two soldiers to lift a Palestinian detainee and press his rectum against a metal stick fixed to the ground. The stick penetrated his rectum for roughly five seconds, causing it to bleed and leaving him in “unbearable pain.”
The United States is the primary supplier of weapons to Israel, with 70% of the arms used in the conflict being American-made. Multiple massacres, including attacks on flour mills and tented refugee camps, have been documented. The US continues to send shipments of weapons to Israel every three days. Analysts suggest that if the US halted weapon supplies, Israel's arsenal could be depleted within weeks, potentially stopping the violence. However, no American politician has taken a stand against these violations of humanitarian law, and the attacks on Palestinian civilians continue.
