Two weeks prior to what is regarded as the most significant midterm election in modern U.S. history, political appointees from the Trump administration encouraged the federal cybersecurity agency, CISA, to secretly get a voting machine and hack it; they wished for a covert operation which would leave the voting-machine company entirely in the dark.
The career officials at CISA were surprised. This wasn't ordinary oversight or a vulnerability assessment; it was a request coming from political actors rather than election-security experts, and it came with instructions that breached fundamental cybersecurity disclosure rules. As former officials stated, the staff had been told not to inform the manufacturer when they identified flaws. What purpose would there be in hiding vulnerabilities unless you planned to use them?
CISA declined to proceed, stating that the operation was not feasible, particularly since their own administration had already dismissed the specialists who could have carried out the work. As a result, the people chosen withdrew their plans. None of the machines were hacked and no votes were altered; however, the intention—namely, the desire to secretly breach a voting machine—is now on record.
It is crazy that this request has even taken place; it demonstrates a lawless government willing to do anything to win an election. It reveals political appointees attempting to get CISA involved in an operation that had no valid reason. And it shows just how weak the safeguards have become.
Two weeks prior to the election. They are panicking.

Your point is well made. Thank you for sharing.

Keep voting it’s your consent for whatever the next war criminals plan and lie to the world that usa is a democracy.
