Australian media has confirmed that 43-year-old Ahmed al Ahmed was the heroic man who tackled one of the Bondi Beach shooters, risking his life to snatch the gun and prevent further loss of life. He has since been hospitalised. His cousin told reporters that the dad of two, who owns a fruit shop in Sutherland, did not have any experience with guns and was simply walking past when he decided to step in.
He is the father of two. He is a hero.
