Ten Families. Ten Small Goals. A Slow Summer, But the Need Is Still There.
Trying to raise $200 per family so they can get through the week with some stability.
Forward Note
Donations have been slow lately. I’m guessing it’s a mix of things — the financial uncertainty, the global tension with the war in Iran, whatever Trump is stirring up, and the general feeling that everything is unstable right now. And it’s summer. A lot of us are with our families, taking trips, trying to give our kids a bit of normal life. I get it. Life doesn’t stop just because the world is a mess.
That being says, families in Gaza are trying to survive something that doesn’t let up. Survival doesn’t give them a break, and Israel’s siege and bombardment haven’t stopped long enough for anyone there to catch their breath.
So here’s what I’m doing today. I’m listing ten families who each need a small amount of help. Small in the big picture, but not small to them. If we can get at least $200 to each family, it would cover basics for the week or some medical care and give them a little room to breathe.
If you can spread a little across all ten, that’s great. If one family speaks to you more than the others, that’s also fine. Whatever you can give goes straight to them. And honestly, if everyone who comes across this could spare around $5 — even just $5 spread across five families — these ten families would have more than enough to get through the next couple of weeks. Tiny amounts add up fast when people chip in.
And if you can’t give anything right now, that’s completely fine. One thing everyone can do is share this article. Getting more eyes on these families makes a real difference.
#1 Atiya
Atiya needs donations desperately.
Yesterday he messaged saying he’s having a hard time breathing. That means he has to go to the hospital to get the phlegm removed — and that’s transport plus medical costs, which come to about $100.
He also needs adult diapers.
If you’re able to help, please do. This is urgent.

#9 Amjad
Amjad is a widow. Israel killed his wife and his twins. One of the twins had to be picked up in pieces in a bag just so they could bury her. This is the horror this man has lived through.
He now lives with his mother and his two remaining young daughters. One of them had her leg amputated because of the injuries from the bombing.
Amjad has been pleading with the world for weeks to help with his mother’s treatment. He can’t bear the thought of losing more family. He’s already lost almost everything. Please help him.
