Sami Hamdi on the Collapse of Israel’s Global Standing — and the MAGA Civil War That Shattered the Old Storyline

The world watched Gaza without filters, and the old propaganda machine finally broke. What comes next is a political reckoning that Washington, Europe, and Tel Aviv can’t control anymore.

For decades, Israel survived on a carefully sanitized image pushed through Western media, political lobbies, and think tanks that treated the public like children who needed “managed information.” It worked because people didn’t have access to anything else. They saw what CNN showed them. They heard what the BBC allowed. They absorbed whatever Washington’s foreign policy establishment fed them. And that was the whole point. Keep the public blind, keep the narrative clean, and keep Israel wrapped in a moral halo it didn’t earn.

That era is dead.

The Gaza genocide didn’t just expose Israel. It exposed the entire Western information system that protected Israel for decades. People didn’t see polished studio segments or carefully edited footage. They saw children pulled out of rubble. They saw bodies lined up in hospital courtyards. They saw journalists being killed live on camera. They saw families wiped out in a single airstrike. They saw things that would never make it onto a Western broadcast because Western media has always been part of the political machinery that shields Israel from consequences.

Candace Owens said she was disgusted with herself for not knowing. Tucker Carlson admitted he spent most of his life believing Islam was the threat because that’s what the system told him. These aren’t fringe voices. These are pillars of American conservatism, and they’re openly saying they were manipulated. That’s why Hamdi calls it a “MAGA Civil War.” It’s not about Trump. It’s about the fracture inside the American right between the Israel First crowd—who treat Israel as a sacred political obligation—and the America First crowd, who are finally asking why the U.S. is sacrificing its own interests, credibility, and moral standing to defend a state committing genocide in broad daylight.

The Israel First lobby is panicking because their monopoly on information is gone. They can’t control TikTok. They can’t control Instagram. They can’t control decentralized footage from Gaza. They can’t stop Gen Z from seeing what’s happening. They can’t stop people from asking why Israel is bombing schools, hospitals, refugee camps, and journalists. They can’t stop the world from seeing the truth. And they can’t stop the political consequences.

Europe is collapsing under the weight of its hypocrisy. They lecture the world about human rights while cheering on a genocide. They talk about international law while giving Israel a blank check to violate every single one. They claim moral superiority while backing a state that has turned Gaza into a graveyard. Hamdi points out that Europe’s credibility crisis isn’t temporary. It’s structural. It’s permanent. And it’s deserved.

The U.S. is facing its own reckoning. The MAGA Civil War is just one part of it. The other part is the collapse of American moral authority. Washington can’t preach democracy while supporting genocide. It can’t talk about “rules-based order” while breaking every rule to protect Israel. It can’t pretend to be a global leader when most of the world sees it as complicit in mass murder. And it can’t hide behind media anymore because media doesn’t control the narrative. Social media does. Decentralized footage does. People with phones do.

Hamdi also points out something Western analysts hate admitting: unjust empires fall. Not because of military defeat, but because they rot from within. They lose legitimacy. They lose moral standing. They lose the ability to convince people that their violence is “necessary” or “defensive.” Israel is in that stage right now. It’s losing legitimacy faster than any state in modern history. It’s losing support even among people who spent their entire lives defending it. And it’s losing the information war because the truth is too brutal to hide.

The Iran–Israel confrontation is part of this collapse. Israel isn’t the regional superpower it pretended to be. It’s exposed and it's vulnerable. It's dependent on U.S. protection. And terrified of a war it can’t win. Israel’s strategic position is weaker than ever, and its political position is collapsing even faster.

And then there’s Turkey. Europe’s skepticism toward Turkey isn’t about democracy or human rights. It’s about power. Europe doesn’t want a strong Muslim country shaping regional politics. It doesn’t want Turkey challenging Israel. It doesn’t want Turkey influencing NATO. It doesn’t want Turkey having a voice. Europe’s problem with Turkey is historical, cultural, and rooted in old imperial arrogance. And Turkey knows it.

All of this ties back to one simple truth: the world saw Gaza without filters. And once people see genocide with their own eyes, they don’t go back to believing propaganda. They don’t go back to trusting media. They don’t go back to swallowing political talking points. They don’t go back to silence. The Hasbara is dead.

The only people still defending Israel are Christian Zionists, political elites who are financially or politically tied to Israel, and a handful of governments too corrupt or too compromised to break away. Everyone else—ordinary people, younger generations, independent journalists, activists, analysts, and even conservative commentators—has turned against Israel because they saw the truth. And once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it.

The world can’t unsee the reality of the Gaza genocide. They can’t unsee the piles of dead, innocent civilians. They can’t unsee the bodies blown to pieces and gathered up in bags just to guess at who they once were. Babies decapitated. Children torn apart. The rape. The torture. The disfigurement. The horrors in the prisons. All of it laid bare on their screens. Once the world saw that, there was no going back. No amount of spin, no polished news segments, no political talking points could erase the images burned into their minds. The lies shattered. The Hasbara is dead. Israel’s propaganda machine is never coming back from this.
