I’ve read Dr Mamdani’s writings decades ago and was grateful to read his insight into imperious military aggressions and where he assessed the U.S. was headed…was hopeful to learn through him what Washington via the Bush /Cheney team was doing as none of our violence made any sense as it castigated millions of people and used them as fodder for in their endless propaganda war then in a “crusade”. Dr Mamdani’s wealth of understanding experience and academic study should have made him a natural teacher on US msm but his message was neither lethal nor hateful so he was put on a media shelf and forgotten…by them but not by those who knew of him and his well of knowledge. And then PBS and beloved Bill Moyers who always found brilliant intellects with world experience to speak to his audiences. A treasure of an interview the likes of which would Never been broadcast today anywhere. What a family the Mamdani’s are ! Mira Nair Mahmoud and Zohran!
