Israel’s Atrocity Porn

October 7th ruins remain because Hasbara needs fresh Palestinian and Lebanese blood through manufactured consent.

Three years after the October 7th Hamas revolt, Israel and its Western media amplifiers are still clinging to the same spectacle‑driven propaganda they launched in the first chaotic hours. The anniversary coverage isn’t about truth, healing, or reflection. It’s about keeping atrocity porn alive — keeping the world emotionally hijacked, keeping Israel’s violence sanitized, and keeping Palestinians dehumanized enough to justify genocide.

Israelis themselves are still debating whether to rebuild the areas affected by the revolt. Not because reconstruction is complicated. But because rebuilding would erase the props. The ruins, the burnt-out shells of homes, the shattered kibbutz walls — these have become Israel’s most valuable political assets. If these damages are repaired and life returns to normal, Israel loses the stage it uses to perform its Hasbara. The tragedy must remain visible, permanent, and monetized.

Western news channels have spent three years trying to outdo one another in their coverage of survivors, not to inform but to provoke. The goal is emotional manipulation. The goal is to bypass logic. The goal is to drown out investigative reporting with trauma porn. Push the Hasbara aside and apply basic logic, and the entire spectacle collapses.

Structural Damage: The Myth of Hamas-Level Destruction

Investigative reports — including statements from Israeli commanders — have confirmed that much of the destruction attributed to Hamas was actually caused by Israel’s own military response. Tank shelling. Hellfire missiles. Apache helicopters firing into residential areas. Videos exist showing Israeli officers acknowledging this openly.

Yet Western media still frames the destruction as evidence of “Hamas barbarism,” ignoring the documented reality that Israel destroyed large portions of its own communities in the chaos of the counterattack.

Unverified Atrocities: The Horror Stories That Never Happened

The most grotesque claims — beheaded infants, baked babies, widespread sexual violence — have been debunked repeatedly. Israeli officials quietly walked back these allegations. Independent investigators found no evidence. Human rights organizations found no evidence. Even Israeli medical examiners found no evidence.

Out of 39 children killed, one was an infant. The vast majority died from Israeli shelling or crossfire between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters. But the fabricated horror stories were too politically useful to abandon. They became the emotional foundation for Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

Casualty Demographics: The Numbers Israel Doesn’t Want Public

Nearly half of all recorded casualties were active-duty or reserve IOF personnel or members of law enforcement. This was not a massacre of civilians on the scale Israel claims. It was a military confrontation — one Israel reframed as a civilian slaughter to maximize global sympathy and justify unlimited retaliation.

The Power of Images: Why Atrocity Porn Works

Strip away the facts, and what remains are the images:

  • the bloody walls,

  • destroyed structures,

  • burnt vehicles,

  • the horrific visuals Israel circulates endlessly.

Anyone with humanity will have a visceral reaction. And that is precisely the point. Israel relies on emotional shock to override critical thinking. That’s why the sites of the revolt have been turned into tourist attractions — pilgrimage points for politicians, celebrities, influencers, and billionaires.

Elon Musk touring an attacked kibbutz wasn’t about learning. It was about performing. And he’s not alone. A long list of public figures have visited these sites and used their platforms to manufacture consent for Israel’s ongoing war crimes.

Why Israel Doesn’t Want to Rebuild

Reconstruction would mean closure.

Closure would mean healing.

Healing would mean losing the emotional leverage Israel uses to justify mass murder.

A society heals when it stops forcing itself to view its own homes as monuments to tragedy. But Israel doesn’t want healing. Israel wants perpetual grief, perpetual fear, perpetual rage — because these emotions keep the genocide machinery running.

Israelis will torture themselves with constant reminders of their tragedy if it serves the purpose of manufacturing consent for continuing the mass murder of Palestinians. That’s Israeli society.

The term that fits the best?

EVIL.
