Lots of people use RE/MAX. I had zero clue.

"RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. is an American real estate franchise operating in over 100 countries and territories.

The company promotes and sells real estate within major Israeli settlements in the West Bank (such as Ma'ale Adumim, Beit El, Oranit, and Givat Ze'ev). The company also operates an office in the Ma'ale Adumim settlement to manage these operations. The agency lists dozens of properties for sale and rent in East Jerusalem neighborhoods and settlements, including Gilo, Ramot, French Hill, and Pisgat Ze'ev. In the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, the company offers properties located within settlements established in the area (such as the Katzrin settlement).

In 2013, UN Special Rapporteur Richard Falk released a report which alleged that real estate groups, such as RE/MAX, found to promote or sell properties in Israeli settlements may be held liable for complicity in the crime of promoting settlement activity in occupied territory. By 2015, RE/MAX Israel was still selling properties in 18 different Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On Sept. 26, 2025, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights updated its blacklist of companies operating in Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, despite UN warnings that construction is illegal under international law. The company's name appeared on the list.

Chevron - wow I am learning a lot tonight

"Chevron Corporation is an American multinational energy giant engaged in hydrocarbon exploration, refining, and marketing. Its the second-largest U.S. oil company

Chevron is classified by economic bodies, investigative reports, and international human rights organizations (such as Oil Change International and the BDS movement) as one of the most prominent economic and strategic partners of the Israeli government.

Chevron pays hundreds of millions of dollars annually to the Israeli government in exchange for natural gas and oil extraction licenses and profit shares.

In 2023 alone, the company paid over $820 million in direct fees and royalties to the Israeli government. Financial estimates indicate that Chevron's tax and franchise obligations will pump more than $26 billion into Israel's treasury by 2040. These funds go directly toward supporting the public treasury and national income, which finances military expenditures and wartime operations.

Israel relies on natural gas to generate approximately 71% of its electricity, and Chevron’s fields (especially the Tamar field) provide about two-thirds of this energy.

Chevron holds a major supply contract extending until 2030 with the state-owned Israel Electric Corporation. This electrical grid, powered by Chevron’s gas, is primarily responsible for supplying military bases, command and control centers, military manufacturing complexes, and Israeli prisons with the power necessary to maintain their operational activities without interruption.

According to oil shipment tracking reports, Chevron contributes to fulfilling a significant portion of Israel's crude oil needs.

Chevron holds a major stake in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in Russia and Kazakhstan. This pipeline ships the crude oil that the Israeli military relies on to refine locally into jet fuel for fighter jets and diesel for armored military vehicles.

Private companies, including Chevron, cover approximately 66% of Israel's oil imports."

I really like the layout, it is easy to use. May sound stupid but the easier it is to find info [and it loads fast and clean] the more likely people will use it. Whoever built it is excellent. Way better than most sites. I like how it is broken down into categories.

Aamir Razak's avatar

thanks for the feedback Emma that is helpful. I don't think that's stupid, i definitely agree that the easier it is to find information on a website, and the faster it loads with minimal issues, more people will visit the site. The categories sound like a useful demarcation as well

Then there is BP. Between the no gas, and no prius/tesla thing, I see a future where I am far more fit than now. And one in which I have learned to walk super fast.

"BP p.l.c. is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, England. They produce oil and gas, trade energy, and make, ship and sell energy products. These include petrol, diesel and jet fuel.

BP is the main operator and the largest shareholder (with a 30% stake) in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline. This pipeline transports oil from Azerbaijan via Turkey, alone covering approximately 28% of Israel's total crude oil imports.

Reports from specialized international organizations (such as Oil Change International) and human rights groups indicate that the Azerbaijani oil transported by BP is shipped to Israeli refineries (such as the Ashdod refinery).

There, a portion of it is processed into jet fuel for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which is used to refuel fighter jets (such as F-35s) conducting airstrikes on the Gaza Strip

Palestinian victims and human rights organizations (such as the International Center of Justice for Palestinians - ICJP) have filed lawsuits and issued legal warning letters against BP in British courts. The lawsuits accuse the company of violating the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and indirectly contributing to potential war crimes by continuing the flow of fuel despite warnings from the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Listed on LSE (BP.), BP plc is backed by leading sovereign wealth funds, most notably NBIM, KIA and QIA."

I corrected its information. Brazil since 2025 stopped selling oil to Israel.

Valero would like everyone to know that they don't sell to the IDF, which I say does make them better than Chevron.

"Valero Energy Corporation is an American-based fuels producer primarily involved in manufacturing and marketing transportation fuels and related products. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, the company owns and operates 14 refineries across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, with a combined throughput capacity of approximately 3.2 million barrels per day. It is on the Pentagon’s “Top 100” suppliers list and supplies jet and diesel fuel to the U.S. military.

Valero has been a long-time, key supplier of JP-8 jet fuel to Israel. Since the war began in 2023, Israel has received three tankers of JP-8 jet fuel from the U.S., all originating from Valero's Bill Greehey refinery.

Valero's response to this report is as follows: 'We do not sell fuel to Israel or the Israel Defense Forces. We are, however, a contractually bound supplier of various fuels to the United States military in several locations, including for their use at U.S. military bases.'

Listed on NYSE (VLO), Valero Energy Corporation is backed by leading sovereign wealth funds, most notably NBIM."

I have been wondering which companies have gone into creating those demand for truth ads. Just in case anyone knows. Accidentally supporting them would make me unhappy.
