Iranians get that biting sarcasm and wit from the Farsi language, which is remarkably similar to English. We all think in language, and when we do, it literally shapes our brains.
Farsi is an Indo-European language. This means that the Iranian sense of humor is going to be far more similar to our own than that of an Arabic or Vietnamese speaker. We don't even need a translator to laugh at their visual humor, and Persians have been satirists for literally millennia.
I don't think our imperial managers ever even considered this.
I don't know if Lego is universal to every country (its apparently the highest selling toy brand globally and in 2025 achieved a revenue of $13B, so it's ubiquitous) but it was a stroke of genius to use it.
It's endearing, but also a fondly-recalled childhood memory for so many. It sets up affection and relatability immediately.
I suspect it was a very deliberate and intentional choice, and has translated to a highly-effective Public relations campaign.
(And a PR nightmare that's going to be difficult to counter for the other side).

Thank you so much Ohio. I did not know this. It makes so much sense to me.
Their videos are worthy of South Park, and Trump bears a striking resemblance to Homer Simpson.
Hollywood move over!
Only acceptable uses of AI, tbh

▪️Handala claims to have leaked a comprehensive trove of Patel’s sensitive data, including:
Personal and confidential emails
Official correspondence and documents
Classified files
➖ U.S. Department of Justice Confirms the Attack
In an admission, a U.S. Department of Justice official confirmed to Reuters that FBI Director Kash Patel’s emails were indeed targeted.
