Pay-per-person deals: ICE outsources most detention centers to greedy private companies like GEO Group and CoreCivic. These vampires get paid $150 to $250 every day for each person they cage…that adds up to as much as $7,500 a month per detainee. Imagine: one person locked up means thousands in their pockets monthly.
Locked-in minimums: Contracts guarantee a certain number of filled beds, so even if cells are empty, taxpayers still pay. This pushes ICE to keep arresting people just to hit those targets and keep the money flowing.
Extra cash grabs: It’s not just the beds…food suppliers, transport firms, and spy-tech companies pile on, adding fees that can push monthly profits per person to $12,000. Every single arrest creates a little economy of bondage.
Forget “law enforcement”, this is a human conveyor belt designed for profit. And that Republican fairy tale about Trump being the ultimate border tough guy with his Zero Tolerance policy? Pure lies. Under him, detentions blew up, but actual deportations dropped because those bodies weren’t sent home, they were recycled into cheap labor for big business.
Trump ranted about immigrants “stealing jobs” to fire up his base, but quietly handed those jobs to corporations. His famous wall? Not a barrier, it was a tool to funnel and control workers for maximum greed.
Under Obama: Building the Monster Quietly
This didn’t start with Trump, Obama laid the rotten foundation, expanding the system under the radar. He set a rule requiring 34,000 detention beds filled every day, that’s like packing a mid-sized stadium full of people daily, across all 50 states averaging about 680 arrests per state just to meet the quota. Taxpayers paid whether beds were full or not, all to keep private prisons fat and happy.
To keep the supply coming, they’d let migrants cross the border in a “catch-and-release” game, only to grab them later inside the U.S. where their detention turned into dollars. The quota didn’t care if you were a criminal or just had bad paperwork, any body counted. Companies like GEO and CoreCivic built massive fortunes on these deals.
Obama quietly deported over 3 million people in eight years, more than any other president, earning him the title “Deporter-in-Chief.” People sat in limbo for months or years over tiny errors or court backlogs, families and asylum seekers suffering because each day in a bed meant more cash.
He didn’t make a show of it; Obama pitched this cruelty in smooth, lawyerly speeches as “practical solutions.” The public barely noticed as the machine grew. But compare to Trump? Obama actually deported way more overall, over 3 million versus Trump’s weak 935,000 in his first four years.
So why did Trump’s bed quota jump to 50,000 daily but deportations fall? Simple: beds stayed full for prison profits, taxes got laundered, but people were funneled into U.S. jobs as cheap labor instead of being kicked out. The system recycles humans for endless gain, not real enforcement.
Under Biden: Keeping the Cruelty Rolling
The racket didn’t slow under Biden, it just wore a different mask. In his term from 2021 to early 2024, his team deported 1.1 million people, on pace to hit about 1.5 million total, matching Trump’s first-term pace. But add in the 3 million quick expulsions under Title 42 (mostly during Biden), and it’s 4.4 million people sent back…more than any single presidential term since Bush’s era.
After Title 42 ended, they still cranked out 775,000 removals and returns in one year, the highest since 2010. Expedited kick-outs hit a record 316,000 from mid-2023 to early 2024. For the first time since Obama’s start, most were “returns” - just shoved back over the border, mainly to Mexico, like the old Clinton and Bush days where returns made up 93% and 81% of actions.
Biden sent people to over 170 countries, possibly a record. Inside the U.S., arrests topped 500,000 from 2021 to late 2024, and detentions reached 1.107 million. He talked a big game about “humane” policies, but the numbers tell the truth: bodies kept cycling through for private prison bucks, then into corporate jobs. Biden repackaged the same old cruelty as “practical,” keeping quotas alive and money pouring in. Different president, same empire scam.
A little fun fact: during the Biden term under Title 42, Nicholas Maduro sent several planes to transport Venezuelans deportees back to Venezuela. This directly contradicts Trump's regime claims that during the Biden era, President Maduro deliberately opened the Venezuelan prisons to flood the US borders.
Under Trump: Turning Cruelty into a Profit Spectacle
Trump stormed in during 2016, obsessed with one-upping Obama…what a twisted fixation. He amped everything up, making brutality the main event.
His Zero Tolerance policy ditched Obama’s pretend focus on “criminals only” and made ripping families apart a deliberate tactic. The daily bed quota shot to 50,000…think 50,000 people locked up every day, more bodies meaning more money. Raids went haywire, targeting long-time residents and even U.S. citizens by “mistake”, but those errors still paid prisons until sorted.
The whole operation swelled like a tumor: budgets jumped from $5.3 billion in 2016 to $8.3 billion by 2020, because in this capitalist nightmare, growth means expanding kid-caging for profit. Family separations filled more beds, raids created more transport and prison deals…every cruel step padded corporate wallets.
Trump didn’t just enforce laws; he turned trauma into a commodity. And the hypocrisy? His own businesses ran on undocumented workers, his New Jersey and New York golf clubs got caught multiple times hiring them.
Workers said bosses told them to grab fake papers and keep working, even helping sometimes. Complain about abuse or unpaid wages? Get hit with deportation threats.
When stories broke in 2018, Trump’s company just fired them quietly. No consequences, no charges - just a cover-up. The New Jersey AG’s investigation went nowhere, and federal eyes looked away. His own government wouldn’t touch him. Rules don’t apply to the powerful, we see that crap time and again.
Now in his 2025 second term, it’s worse: over 622,000 deportations by early 2026 (including 605,000 by December 2025), covering communities and borders. Detentions exploded from 39,000 in January 2025 to a record 73,000 by mid-January 2026, aiming for 100,000 or more with fresh cash. Raids are everywhere…over 40 workplace hits in the first seven months of 2025, snagging 1,100+ people. The biggest was a September 2025 raid at a Hyundai plant in Georgia, cuffing 475 in one swoop. Trump’s not easing up; he’s peddling trauma like never before.
The Corporate Subsidy: Legal Traps and Boss Immunity
Washington runs a two-faced game to flood corporations with cheap labor they can abuse.
On the “legal” side, guest-worker visas chain people to employers, if you quit or speak up, you lose your status and face deportation. Take H-2B for jobs like landscaping or hospitality: capped at 66,000, but Trump expanded it after lobby pressure - adding 15,000 in 2017, another 15,000 in 2018, and 30,000 in 2019, the biggest boost ever. By 2025, they tacked on 64,716 more, hitting 130,716 total, with 35,000 extra proposed for 2026 despite the chaos.
On the illegal side, big agriculture and construction get a free pass. Raids look tough on TV, like the 2019 Mississippi chicken plant where 680 got arrested, but companies pay tiny fines and rehire migrants days later. It’s all show; the labor supply never stops. Legal and undocumented? Just two sides of the same corrupt setup.
Trump’s Farm Labor Boom: Handing Jobs to Migrants
Trump’s agriculture and labor departments slashed rules for farmers, making it easy to apply for H-2A farm visas in bulk…faster approvals, easy renewals, and freezing the wage protections meant to stop foreigners from undercutting American pay. So much for “protecting U.S. jobs”, he straight-up gave them away.
Big dairy and produce lobbied hard, and Trump caved: H-2A visas jumped from 165,000 in 2016 to 275,000 by 2020. In 2025, they killed off worker protections from 2024 and cut oversight, letting issuances climb even higher (though exact numbers are buried in the mess). Penalties for horrors like the 2018 crash that killed and hurt migrant workers (shoutout Bread for the World)? Pocket change compared to the billions in profits.
Corporations Playing Dirty: No Real Punishment
Companies hire undocumented folks on purpose, pay them peanuts, abuse them, and trash their rights…straight criminal. But do they pay? Hell no. This is the direct result of Reagan’s 1986 Immigration Reform in which employer skirted accountability for hiring illegal immigrants as cheap labor force.
From mid-2018 to early 2019, just 11 people (not whole companies) got prosecuted in seven cases; only three went to prison, the rest got slaps with fines.
Wider view: In 2018, ICE did 6,848 workplace checks, 5,981 audits, and over 2,300 arrests (779 criminal, 1,525 admin)…but it all led to just three jail sentences. That’s not stopping anyone; it’s a wink to corporations while migrants suffer endless abuse, trauma, and dehumanization.
Fast to 2025: raids up (40+ in half a year, 1,100+ arrests), but prosecutions are still a joke—tiny fines for giants, real pain for workers.
The E-Verify Scam: Wasting Your Money on Nothing
Trump pushes his “tough” talk, stuffing E-Verify into Project 2025, but it’s total garbage. This 30-year-old system from DHS and Social Security checks if workers are legal.
Costs? $47 million just to run in 2023, proposed $112.6 million for 2026, averaging $100 million a year. Making it nationwide? Another $30 billion over 10 years. And who does this money go to? AI surveillance companies like Palantir.
But it’s useless, full of errors, easy to dodge. Employers ignore red flags or teach workers to fake docs. It’s self-run; bosses decide if they care. Prosecutions for illegal hiring? Basically zero, like those three sentences show.
Politicians hype it as a fix, knowing it’s broken. Obama tested it, Trump promoted it, Project 2025 recycles it as “Zero Tolerance” reloaded. They’re swinging an unloaded gun while dumping $100 million yearly into this junk, jailing maybe three people for 18 months total, as ICE plays catch-and-release to keep workers in the system. Can you smell the bullshit? The donor class of both parties are the employers of these immigrants.
Zero Tolerance: Just a Cruel Show
In 2018, over 5,000 kids got yanked from parents at the border. ICE caged them to “deter” migrants. But labor needs didn’t vanish, companies hired the parents anyway. The horror was a distraction: we raged about the kids while parents slipped into slavery.
The Title 42 Trick: Fake Crisis for Votes
Trump’s late-2020 Title 42 expulsions? A sneaky move to fake a border “explosion” and scare his base into keeping him. This COVID rule let agents boot migrants instantly, no asylum or courts…just shove them back.
It created repeat crossings (same people counted over and over) to pump up numbers. Before, getting caught meant real bans; under this, no records - just padded stats for ICE to brag. All fear-mongering for power.
Americans Getting Screwed: The Big Beautiful Bill
We’re the suckers footing this bill. ICE already drains over $8 billion yearly, but Trump’s July 2025 “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB) made it obscene.
Congress threw $75 billion over four years at ICE: 100,000 new beds, almost $1 billion in bonuses, and perks turning arrests into a jackpot. Agents boast $5,000 a day during big raids. Recruits get $50,000 sign-on bonuses, student loan wipes, salaries from $88,000 to $170,000, plus stackable $10,000 yearly bonuses for “good work” or sticking around.
This isn’t government pay, it’s corporate bribes for human kidnapping. Those $5K boasts? Make sense now: deportation’s a money-making scheme, and we’re bankrolling it. By 2025, ICE’s budget tripled to $28.7 billion; 2026 eyes $30 billion or up to $37.5 billion average over the four years…more than some countries spend on their whole military.
Now you have the answer as to why ICE are running amok in your neighborhood, terrorizing even American citizens.
The Fake Patriotism: It’s All About Theft
ICE fans wave flags, calling it “protecting America.” Bullshit…strip it down, and it’s just stealing from us. Lobbyists cut shady deals, prisons lock in contracts, politicians like Trump keep the funds gushing. Like any business, they need steady customers..so they use human lives as subscriptions.
The playbook: Sell fear to voters, let corporations cash in, stick us with the tab. “Protection” really means robbing Americans to torture others.
Why This Hell Matters
When cruelty pays, it becomes the rule. We fund it, so it never stops: prisons push for tougher laws, ICE begs for bigger budgets, politicians score points on fear, and families get shredded.
It was never about safety, borders, or justice…always profit. Washington washes billions through fake quotas and enforcement theatre, while companies secure endless cheap labor, legal or not. Trump isn’t a hero; he is the broker feeding prison and corporate pigs. The horrors…kids in cages, Title 42 fakes, E-Verify lies…were the public show. The real deal hides in shadows: our taxes turned into corporate slavery.

The working class Republican and the working class Democrat have more in common with each other than either of them has with the billionaire class that funds both parties.
You share the same struggles. You face the same rigged systems. You are being crushed by the same economic forces that have transferred more wealth upward in the last fifty years than at any point in human history. And instead of uniting against the people doing this to you, you are screaming at each other on the internet about pronouns and flags and whatever fresh outrage the algorithm served up this morning.
This is exactly what they want. A nation at war with itself cannot resist a takeover. A people consumed by mutual hatred will accept any authority that promises to protect them from the manufactured enemy. Every empire that fell was divided before it was conquered. Every free people who lost their freedom were set against each other first.
The red versus blue war is not real. It is a show put on by people who own both teams. It is professional wrestling and you think it is a real fight. The wrestlers go backstage after the match and laugh together while you are still screaming at the guy in the other section who was rooting for the wrong character.
This Is Our Country Not Theirs
This nation belongs to the people who live here and work here and raise families here and will be buried here. It does not belong to billionaires who hold citizenship in three countries and will flee to their bunkers the moment things get bad. It does not belong to tech oligarchs who view democracy as an obstacle to efficiency. It does not belong to foreign interests who have purchased so much influence that they might as well be writing our laws themselves.
We have to stop letting them divide us. We have to start seeing each other as fellow Americans again instead of enemy combatants in a culture war that was manufactured to keep us weak. We have to remember that the person screaming at us online is also a victim of the same manipulation, and maybe if we stopped screaming back and started talking, we might realize we have been fighting the wrong enemy this entire time.
Turn off the television. It is not informing you. It is programming you. Question everything, including the sources you trust, especially the sources you trust. Talk to people who disagree with you and do it without trying to win. Listen to why they believe what they believe. You might discover that the monster you have been told to hate is actually just another person trying to make sense of a confusing world with imperfect information, exactly like you.
Remember who you are.
You are an American. Your ancestors came to this land or were brought to this land or were already on this land, and regardless of how they got here, they built something together that was supposed to be different from the old world’s tyrannies and aristocracies. That project is not finished. Every generation has to fight to keep it alive against the forces that want to drag us back to a world where a handful of rulers own everything and everyone else serves at their pleasure.
Stop letting them divide you. Your enemies are not your neighbors. Your enemies are the people who profit from your division and are building machines to replace you the moment you are no longer useful.
