Nobody will cry for Dubai.

Dubai: family owned petrol station without human rights. Billionaires will leave once the oil spigot is turned off.

I passed through the uae airport and I was confessed impressed by how nice it was; then I looked a little deeper and realized most of the people in the airport where either South Asians (the labor), you know who’s (the bosses) and beautiful blondes with lots of work done that just made me sad for the things women have to do to get by on this planet run by the stupid dollar. And after that, the scales fell of my eyes and I remembered why I’d never visited Dubai or wanted to: bc I’m from Beirut, a place with actual depth, and actual history.

I just want to see Iran take out Burj Khalifa. I want to see the slo-mo video over and over of five or six 2-ton warheads hitting that sky scraping sonofabitch.

Dubai sounds worse then Las Vegas.

UAE the fools paradise. Tied at the hip to emptying your resources. Oil and gloss. An exclusive welfare state - not yours.

Really Dubai, in the Epstein class, sends women who’ve been raped to jail for bearing children out of wedlock! Fits right in with MAGA in red states like Texas.

Well spotted Jemby, I’ve been to Dubai à couple of times en route to the west & my précis would be it’s likely the most contrived, capitalistic & vacuous excuse for a “city state” on the planet, which is an indictment on most of the ex pats that are “domiciled” there, as they’re only working there for the filthy lucre & don’t add any social or positive “added value” whatsoever when they’ve got the piggy bank full & return home.

I refuse to fly via Dubai in the future as I’d rather give my discretionary $ to say Singapore. Keep up your great correspondence. 🇵🇸🧕

Dubai is that cliché shiny golden decadent city that get wipes out by the wrath of heaven or natural disaster or just rot from within you commonly see in fiction & folklore.

Disgusting, I have seen Trumps slaves he has working on his golf course, that whole country is holding workers passports and/or making them work for slave wages. They are essentially trafficked.

Unfortunately, a part from the Indians and the Phillippinos who make no money while over there, MOST of the people who go there (EXPATS) and make tons of money are those who come from so called Western democracies who shout and rant freedom, human rights and frees speech yet end up there to exploit the situation just like their countries who exploit, colonize and loot others in Africa, Asia, The mIddle East and Latin America for decades.

That is true.

I’ve met people who claim to be Christian Missionaries going there to live and yet they’re really there for the comfortable living excusing their lack of witnessing as being prohibited.

It just proves to me that most of western religion is full of people who claim to believe in Jesus, but do not live out anywhere near the example led by Christ Jesus Himself.

Dubai is taking a huge hit in the real estate investment sector! OMG! I'm lucky I didn't make a move to buy a property in that city!

Dubai is a sin city that pretends to be a Muslim country.
