That “something major,” might be just getting Americans, to get over their anathema to third (it's not a wasted vote) party voting. Third parties refuse to accept PAC funding, so aren't beholden to corporate agendas.

I saw AOC interviewed after the victories of the two Democratic Socialists and Brad Ladner in NY and she was all Dem Party establishment. When asked to what she attributed their victories, she said not a word about Gaza, despite each of the candidates mentioning it as a large part of their support in their own interviews. She ticked off the standard and vague Democratic talking points we could hear from any establishment Dem. Then she basically apologized for Chevalier when the interviewer asked her about some of Chavalier’s past statements. When Ro Khanna was interviewed shortly afterward, he unhesitatingly cited the positions of the three candidates on “the genocide” in Gaza as contributing to the three successful campaigns. There are reasons beyond AOC’s lie about Harris for people’s distrust of her. My own take is that she initially ran as an outsider, but she’s responded to her subsequent popularity and growing acceptance by the party’s mainstream by becoming an insider and making herself unthreatening to them. She’s downplaying Gaza and people won’t forgive her for that.
AOC didn't make that calculation because she is more concerned about her power than moral integrity.
her voting record is irrelevant because the bills always go in the opposite direction. she is not a deciding vote.
why don't people ever talk about the fact that AOCs origin story is a lie. she wasn't just some bartender from the Bronx. she was born in the Bronx, but she was raised in Yorktown Heights which is in Westchester county. she graduated from BU and interned for Ted Kennedy.
Yes. I was surprised to learn recently that AOC bartended to help put herself through college. Calling herself a bartender would be equivalent to my calling myself a waitress because I waited tables to help put myself through college. Millions of other students did the same.
This is a Genocide you are correct and the U.S. needs to get away from supporting them any longer. This is a point where we can take away our support and use that to push them to stop this war. They start supporting GAZA in restructuring so that the innocent civilians can begin recovery. At the same time, we must get out of the Iran war as well that is a Ludacris war that we should never have been in. And like another commentated on with the new administration we have to emplace laws to regulate financial supporting for politicians so that groups like AIPAC and individuals like musk aren’t able to buy representatives any longer right along with supreme court judges. This does us no good if that’s not fixed, the cycle of corruption will just continue on.
