Rep. Max Miller (R–OH) ended his livestream today insisting he will not withdraw from the race for Ohio’s 7th Congressional District, even as serious domestic‑violence allegations continue to follow him.
The allegations come from his former partner, Stephanie Grisham, who has publicly accused Miller of physical assault. Grisham alleges that during an argument, Miller pinned her against a wall, grabbed her by the shoulders, shoved her, and slapped her across the face. She has described the incident as terrifying and says she left because she feared the violence would escalate. These details have been repeated in interviews and in her memoir, where she characterizes Miller’s behavior as volatile and physically aggressive.
According to reporting from outlets such as The Washington Post and The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Grisham’s account includes specific claims of physical intimidation, rage, and assault. No police report was filed at the time, and Miller has not been criminally charged. He denies all allegations, calling them false, defamatory, and politically motivated.
Despite the seriousness of the accusations — which involve claims of physical assault and domestic violence — Miller used today’s livestream to declare he will remain in the race and “fight through the lies.”
In any other time in history, allegations like this would have ended a political career. But here we are.
