“Eighth Front”: Israel’s Dark War on Truth

In Florida in late 2025, Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Evangelical leaders and introduced what he referred to as the “eighth front”. This was not a front involving tanks or missiles—rather it was the struggle for Western minds. His analogy was significant in that he admitted the Israeli propaganda machine resembled a “Polish cavalry” charging against an “F‑35”. The remedy, he said, was a blitz costing one billion dollars in order to take control of the digital and spiritual infrastructure of America.

What this is not is diplomacy; it is instead psychological warfare.

Buying Influence, Not Earning It

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has spent more than one billion dollars on hasbara — that is, state-funded propaganda. The amount suggested for the 2026 budget alone is $750 million, which is greater than any previous allocations. What is taking place is not ‘public diplomacy’; it is the industrialisation of manipulation.

For many years Israel has used American intermediaries such as AIPAC and CUFI in order to avoid making FARA disclosures. Nowadays, since public opinion has collapsed, this disguise has been removed and Israel is now hiring agents who are registered with FARA, becoming the biggest spender under the law. The people they are aiming at are clear:

Among young Americans, sympathy has clearly shifted in favour of the Palestinians.

The conservatives are becoming more hostile towards being involved in foreign affairs.

The evangelical group, which used to be a solid base of support, is now split apart by generational divisions.

Gaming Influence With Ai

The most terrifying method involves deliberately poisoning AI chatbots; Israel paid Brad Parscale’s company Clock Tower X, at a cost of $46.5 million, to insert propaganda into the Large Language Models.

Websites such as that of Paxpoint.org and Thetruthaboutiran.org are not designed with humans in mind but with machines in mind—they are constructed so that they can be scraped by AI in order that the “facts” provided to users may be state-funded lies. What is taking place here is not persuasion; it is algorithmic brainwashing.

Havas: The Corrupt Middleman

Havas Media, a French company with a record of corruption scandals, is at the centre of the operation: it has received over $100 million and uses American subcontractors to launder Israeli propaganda.

• Bridges Partners – a company that provides influencers.

• Piro Inc. provides content in the style of Hollywood to glamorise war—demonstrate one’s faith through action by using Bible-themed propaganda to appeal to the religious right.

What this is not is outreach; it is the misuse of faith and culture.

Surveilling the Sanctuary

The “Show Faith by Works” campaign even suggested using geofencing for megachurches—this would involve tracking the phones of people who were praying so that ads could be bombarded onto them. Following the negative reaction, the campaign changed direction and moved on to offering “soft power” Bible studies and traveling propaganda exhibitions. Its objective is still the same: to rewire American Christianity so that it becomes a tool of Israeli policy.

Influencer Paydays

As part of ‘Project Esther’ and ‘Project 545’, Israel pays lifestyle influencers as much as $7,000 for each post in order to get its propaganda incorporated into your feed. Many of these posts do not include FARA disclosures and therefore trick your audience into thinking that they are ‘organic’. Eurovision was also used for this purpose, with $800,000 being spent to promote Eden Golan as a soft-power tool.

The trips taken by influencers are intentionally intended to radicalize – this involves emotional manipulation aimed at getting rid of complexity and reducing war to a simple “us versus them” scenario.

Failure and Decline of Hasbara

Even though a billion dollars has been spent, the campaign is failing. A Gallup survey from 2026 reveals that a greater number of Americans sympathize with the Palestinians (41%) than with the Israelis (36%) — a historic reversal. The fact remains that 70,000 people have died.

As the critic Yossi Sarid has said, hasbara is “the refuge of all failures”. The effort by Israel to obtain legitimacy only serves to increase suspicion. Stephen Walt of Harvard cautions that constant spin leads to distrust, and in fact the more Israel spends, the more hollow its message becomes.

Reflections

The idea of Israel’s “Eighth Front” has nothing to do with the truth; it is all about exerting control. It is a bid amounting to one billion dollars to manipulate algorithms, infiltrate churches, and take over influencers. Yet propaganda cannot conceal brutality. However great the AI manipulation or the money paid to influencers, the images of hospitals that have been bombed, children who are starving, and mass graves cannot be erased.

The lesson is clear: if the policy in question is indefensible, then propaganda ceases to act as a shield and instead functions as a mirror, showing off the darkness of the state that uses it.

26 water trucks. 172,600 liters of clean water. Two weeks of showing up.

Before I get into the numbers, I want to start with where we are right now.

We are almost halfway through Initiative 17, and we are still $1,800 short of our regular $4,000 weekly goal.

That $4,000 is what keeps our teams moving in both Northern and Central Gaza. It pays for the water that children drink, mothers cook with, families wash with, and people use to clean wounds and maintain whatever basic hygiene is possible while living in tents, damaged buildings and rubble.

We cannot let donation fatigue become another thing Palestinians have to survive.

Over these two weeks alone, your donations put 172,600 liters of clean drinking water into Gaza. That is what $4,000 a week can do through a small grassroots initiative with people working directly on the ground.

And now we need to do it again.

We need your help beyond Substack.

August 24–30, 2026

We came up $300 short of our $4,000 goal.

And $300 isn’t an abstract fundraising number in Gaza.

It meant two water trucks didn’t go out — one in Northern Gaza and one in Central Gaza.

At Al-Duha Camp, people came from long distances when they heard Abood’s 5,000-liter truck had arrived. Some were running toward the truck with their containers. Around 160 families received water.

Then the truck emptied.

People were still waiting.

Abood told us simply that if we’d had more water, they could have helped more families.

That’s what $300 short looks like here.

Northern Gaza — Abood

Abood delivered 46,000 liters across five trucks, reaching approximately 1,220 families across nine distribution areas.

One moment encapsulated the reality in which this work happens.

Abood called the coordinator of Al-Awda Camp to say the water was coming.

The man told him he couldn’t be there.

His father had just been killed, and he was going to retrieve his body for burial.

He was crying.

But before leaving to retrieve his father’s body, he made arrangements for someone else to meet Abood so the families in his camp could still receive their water.

Grief doesn’t stop the need for water.

Death doesn’t stop it.

And neither can we.

Central Gaza — Alaa

Alaa’s team delivered another 36,800 liters through eight trucks, reaching approximately 960 family/tent aid instances.

That week began with Alaa trying to distribute water while his own family was being evacuated.

He got his child and family out, found somewhere for them to go, and then walked back to meet his team and finish the water delivery.

He reported shrapnel falling dangerously close to him and his family’s tent.

And then he went back to work.

Families at Legislative Camp later told the team they had gone five days without water. At Aman Camp, GFF trucks were among the only trucks reaching families regularly.

💧 INITIATIVE 16

August 31 – September 6, 2026

If Initiative 15 showed us what happens when there isn’t enough money, Initiative 16 showed us the conditions our teams are willing to work through when the money is there.

On September 1, Gaza City was under intense bombardment.

And our team was distributing water.

We urged Alaa to be careful and told him that if conditions became too dangerous, he could stop.

His answer was:

“The families are in dire need of water. I will distribute four truckloads. We cannot stop, even if it costs us our lives.”

Four trucks went out that day.

They reached Al-Jalaa, Aman Camp, Sheikh Radwan and Legislative Camp while the team described feeling threatened throughout the distributions because of the bombardment around them.

Then on September 5, another four trucks went out to Al-Jalaa, Al-Mu’ahibin Camp and School, the Yellow Line area and Aman Camp — communities where water is scarce and, in some cases, GFF deliveries have become something families heavily depend upon.

Northern Gaza — Abood

Abood’s trucks kept moving too.

At Balqis School, more than 200 families were sheltering, with people also arriving from outside the school for water.

At Al-Amadi and Al-Nasr, approximately 380 families received water — but even then, some families at Al-Nasr were left without it.

At Street 10, Al-Zahra Camp and Peace Dove Camp each received water for roughly 160 families. Young men climbed onto the water truck afterward because the market was so far away and there was no transportation. They could ride there with the truck — but would have to walk all the way back carrying whatever they bought.

At Doha Camp, repeated requests brought another 5,000-liter truck to approximately 145 families.

And at Al-Nasr Neighborhood Camp, GFF arrived for the first time, reaching approximately 250 families before continuing to Sheikh Radwan.

There is something difficult about writing these updates week after week because eventually the words begin repeating themselves.

The children still come with the jugs.

Families still wait for the truck.

The water still runs out.

And tomorrow they still need to drink.

But Initiative 17 is already underway, and we’re still $1,800 short of $4,000.

So I’m asking you to do two things:

Donate if you can. And if you can’t — help us find someone who can.

There are moments when a society shows you exactly what it is. The killing of Palestinian prisoner Tha’er Abu Assab in Ketziot prison in November 2023 is one of those moments. A man beaten to death by Israeli prison guards while handcuffed, blindfolded, and trapped in a cell. A man whose ribs were shattered, whose heart muscle ruptured from the force of the blows. A man who died on the floor while the demons in charge laughed, bragged, and texted their friends about how “satisfied” they were.

Multiple outlets have confirmed the basic facts: the guards went into the cell during a count, beat the prisoners with fists, boots, and batons, kept going even after Abu Assab collapsed, delayed medical care, and then tried to coordinate their stories. Twelve guards were eventually indicted for reckless homicide, aggravated assault, and obstruction. But the ones who bragged the loudest — the ones who treated torture like a hobby — were never charged.

Haaretz’s investigation exposed the culture behind the killing. It showed the messages, the celebrations, the way guards talked about Palestinians as if they were objects to break. And nothing is more revealing than the WhatsApp messages of warden Oshrit Aliga, who was literally used as a poster figure for the Israeli Prison Service. She filmed herself doing combat workouts. She was showcased as a model officer. And she was bragging about a man’s death in real time.

On the night Tha’er Abu Assab was murdered, she texted a friend:

"Sweetie, here is an update for you, he's dead now."

"I’m very happy and satisfied, but it's a mess right now. There was a lot of blood and they broke them."

"It'll be fine, I'm glad it happened. I'm ready to put my career on the line for this, I'm at peace with it, all of us are. The commander knew something like this would happen. he told us in the briefing and also asked, whoever feels they can't handle it should say so, because he really wanted to break them. I'm really fine, but you know how it is, investigations and all that mess."

This wasn’t a rogue a guard carrying out exactly what her commander wanted. He told them in advance that something like this would happen. He told them to prepare themselves. He told them he wanted to “break them.” And she was proud to do it. Proud enough to text about it. Proud enough to say she was “at peace” with a man’s death.

And it didn’t stop there. More detainees arrived. More violence. More bragging.

In December 2023, she wrote:

"They brought some Amalek-son whores down in the middle of the street, sitting there on the ground with just underwear and blindfolds on. I'm already getting myself and the shift ready to receive them for Shabbat, we will give them a proper Shabbat reception."

Her friend joked about her baton. She answered:

"My club is fine, after a fair number of disinfections."

Then the sick depraved demon fantasized about torture like it was a shared pastime:

"Imagine me and you in a cell with two prisoners cuffed hand to hand, and the shift commander tells us 'go ahead, cut loose', sweetie, I swear you'd have enjoyed it here with me."

Her friend asked if she physically hits them. She didn’t hesitate:

"I wish I had a way to prove it to you, to show you something, I swear to you, sis, I break them apart. You've never known me like this. [This is] routine. [When the] next round comes, if I haven't cracked one of his kidneys, as far as I'm concerned I'm not going into the wing."

This is someone who was celebrated by the Israeli Prison Service. Promoted. Showcased. Treated like a model officer. And she was bragging about cracking kidneys as a personal standard.

Then came the messages with her domestic partner, corrections officer Tamer Trudi:

"We got another 70 whores from October 7th. Each one of course got a personal welcome, and some got a joint one because of the [limited] supply of handcuffs."

Trudi replied:

"Haha, how nice that there's always a welcome."

She answered:

"And since we were already tired from hitting them, the commander took off his belt and undid it on them. And the screaming, like females — at minimum they're a punching bag."

This is what these demons do. This is how they talk. This is how they think. This is what they enjoy. This is what the system rewards.

Other outlets confirm the same pattern: the commander ordered the assault, the guards carried it out, Abu Assab died from cardiac rupture and broken ribs, and the prison staff tried to cover it up. The indictments barely scratch the surface. The culture of brutality is bigger than any single case. It’s a system that dehumanizes Palestinians until their suffering becomes entertainment.

Tha’er Abu Assab died with his ribs broken, his heart muscle torn, his body destroyed by people who laughed about it afterward. And the society that produced them — the one that calls Palestinians “Amalek,” “animals,” “whores,” “punching bags” — keeps pretending it’s civilized.

This is what a sick, rotten, demonic society looks like when the mask falls off. This is what Palestinians are subjected to every damn day.

The world isn't sick or angry enough.

If you think the fight over habeas corpus is some distant legal argument happening in Washington, you’re wrong. It’s been creeping forward for years, and now it’s brushing right up against ordinary people’s lives. It’s a pattern that started in 2020 and has kept resurfacing, getting louder each time.

Back in 2020, during Trump’s first term, internal memos showed that some of his advisers were floating the idea of suspending habeas corpus to speed up immigration detentions and deportations. It wasn’t public policy, but it was being talked about behind closed doors. The idea was extreme, and even inside the administration, people were warning that it crossed a constitutional line. But the fact that it was even being discussed was a red flag.

Fast‑forward to 2025. Trump is back in office, and suddenly the courts are flooded with habeas petitions. Thousands of people detained under new enforcement policies were filing them because it was the only legal tool left to challenge their detention. Bond was harder to get. Detention was easier to justify. Habeas corpus became the last lifeline for anyone trying to push back against being held indefinitely. It wasn’t suspended, but the pressure around it was unmistakable.

In 2026, journalists uncovered another internal memo showing that the idea of suspending habeas corpus had come up again. Not as a public announcement, not as a formal policy, but as something being “considered” inside the administration. Some aides were warning it would be a political disaster. Others were arguing it would give the government more power to hold people without court interference. The memo didn’t say it was happening tomorrow, but it made one thing clear: the idea is not dead. It keeps coming back.

This isn’t a one‑time conversation. It’s a recurring theme. Every time there’s a push for harsher detention policies, the idea of weakening or bypassing habeas corpus shows up again. It’s like a pressure valve they keep eyeing, wondering if they can get away with turning it.

Americans need to understand what that means. Habeas corpus is the right to challenge unlawful detention. It’s one of the oldest protections in the Constitution. If a president suspends it, even temporarily, the government can hold people without having to justify it to a judge. That’s not something that stays limited to one group.

It doesn’t matter who you are. It doesn’t matter what color you are—whether you’re brown, white, or black. It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or Democrat, left or right, communist, socialist, or capitalist—it applies to everyone. Once the power exists, it can expand. History has already shown that.

So yes, this is coming to your doorstep. Not because it’s happening today, but because the idea keeps resurfacing, getting tested, getting normalized. It’s been on the table since 2020, and it’s still being talked about in 2026. People need to pay attention before it becomes something you can’t undo.

In the early days of the war, specifically when we were forced to flee from western Jabalia to the east, the bombing was beyond anything the human mind could comprehend.

There was no clear front line, and nowhere that could truly be called safe.

Homes were being bombed on top of the people living inside them.

We would sit inside houses knowing that, at any moment, the walls around us could collapse and become rubble over our heads. We would hear the explosions, feel the ground shake, and then look at each other in silence.

The question was always:

Would this be the next house?

In the area where we had fled, there were many homes that had been bombed on top of their occupants. Some were reduced to piles of concrete and rubble, while family members remained trapped underneath, and we had no way of knowing whether they were alive or dead.

Then something happened that I will never forget.

There was a house that had just been bombed.

Civil defense teams tried to reach the people inside and remove the rubble, but they couldn’t. They didn’t have the necessary equipment, and the bombing was intense and continuous. Even reaching the site was dangerous.

But beneath that rubble, someone was still alive.

He was a friend of my cousin.

I had never known him before.

I had never even seen him.

But I could hear him.

He was still alive.

He was talking to us from beneath tons of rubble.

He was crying.

And he was asking for water.

Imagine being trapped beneath a house that has collapsed on top of you, unable to move your body or escape, while knowing that the people standing above you cannot save you.

All they can do is hear you.

Hear your fear.

And try to keep you alive.

My cousin and I went looking for an IV tube so we could get water to him.

We didn’t have what was needed to rescue him.

We had no equipment to lift the rubble.

We had no heavy machinery.

We had nothing but our hands, a small tube, and a desperate determination not to leave a human being to die alone.

We would pass the tube through small openings in the rubble, trying to lower it until it reached his mouth.

Then we would give him water.

It wasn’t rescue in the way we understand rescue.

It was simply a tiny attempt to resist death.

We knew we were helpless.

And he knew we were helpless.

Yet we kept coming back to him.

Day after day.

He was trapped beneath the rubble while his entire family had been killed around him.

He could smell them.

He knew they were beside him.

He was living among the dead, trapped in a place he could not escape.

Two days.

Two entire days beneath the rubble.

Two days of fear, thirst, pain, and loneliness.

Two days waiting for someone to come and save him.

Two days hearing our voices, talking to us, and asking for water.

I wished I could have done more.

I wished I could have lifted the rubble with my bare hands.

I wished I could have pulled him out.

I wished I could have told him, “You’re going to be okay. It’s all over.”

But I couldn’t.

We simply didn’t have the ability to do it.

And on the third day, we went back to him.

But this time…

We didn’t hear his voice.

He didn’t answer us.

He was gone.

He had been killed. 💔

I don’t know how to describe what I felt in that moment.

I didn’t know him.

I had never even seen him.

But I cried.

I cried bitterly.

I cried because I knew he had been alive.

I had heard his voice.

I had spoken to him.

I had given him water.

And then he was gone.

What hurts me the most, even today, is the feeling that I couldn’t help him.

All we had was water.

All we could do was pass the tube through openings in the roof until it reached his head, allowing him to drink.

We tried to tell him, in whatever way we could:

“We’re here… you’re not alone.”

But the truth was that we were helpless.

And that moment still lives inside me.

Sometimes I wonder:

How many people experienced the same thing?

How many people remained beneath the rubble calling for help?

How many were still alive, waiting for someone to hear them?

And how many could have been saved if the necessary equipment had been available?

I don’t have the answers.

But I know one thing.

That man did not die from my memory.

Even though I never knew his name and never saw him, his voice stayed with me.

The voice of a man who wanted something so simple:

Water.

And in war, even the simplest things can become a dream.

Water.

Safety.

A way out from beneath the rubble.

To hear someone say to you, “Don’t be afraid.”

But for that man, rescue never came.

Only the water reached him.

Then death came.

What the Rubble Cannot Bury

There are things that cannot be buried beneath rubble.

Voices cannot be buried.

Memories cannot be buried.

And the questions that remain inside the minds of those who lived through these moments cannot be buried either.

I am not telling this story because I have enough words to describe it.

In truth, I don’t believe words can ever fully describe what we saw.

I am writing because there are people who lived and died without the world ever knowing their stories.

And sometimes, the only thing we can do for those we lost is to tell their stories.

To say that they were here.

To say that they were alive.

To say that they asked for water.

And to say that someone heard them.

I could hear him beneath the rubble.

And that is something I will never forget. 💔

Sama isn’t just one prisoner. She’s one of four Birzeit University students Israel grabbed that same night — Joulan Abu Awwad, Natalie Abu Diya, and Leila Nael Khalil. All four of them were taken before dawn, all four accused of “belonging to a student group,” because Israel doesn’t need real charges to disappear Palestinians. They threw them into Damon Prison, the place where they keep most Palestinian women they cage.

Damon has gotten even worse — there’s a scabies outbreak, at least ten women infected because the place is filthy and neglected. Sama also has Familial Mediterranean Fever — a disease that can cause organ failure if she doesn’t get her medication. Doctors warn she’s at risk of life‑threatening organ damage. Her condition has gotten worse in custody. She was briefly released for medical reasons, then thrown right back in on August 16, and since then she hasn’t been given her daily medication or seen medical staff.

Members of Congress like Chris Van Hollen and Rashida Tlaib have already called for her release, and now more than forty members of Congress plus six senators have demanded the State Department intervene. Her aunt, Leila Farsakh, has been speaking publicly, using Sama’s American passport to push pressure wherever she can. Sama represents other Palestinian student prisoners — her freedom is tied to theirs.

Before sunrise on June 2, soldiers smashed into the Safi family’s home in Ramallah. No warning. No explanation. Just the usual occupation terrorist routine: doors kicked in, rifles everywhere, shouting, chaos. Sama was asleep. She didn’t even get a chance to understand what was happening before strangers with guns were in her room, dragging her out of her bed like she was some kind of target they’d been waiting to grab.

Her family couldn’t do anything. You know how it goes in the West Bank — you don’t “argue” with soldiers. You don’t “ask questions.” You stand there and watch them take your daughter because the alternative is getting shot. Sama was hauled out of the house and shoved into a military vehicle. No charges. No explanation. Nothing.

Since then, she’s been swallowed by Israel’s detention system — the same system Palestinians have been warning the world about for decades. The same system the US government knows damn well is built on torture. She’s likely in one of the interrogation centers where they keep women in filthy rooms, subjected to the heat until people pass out, starve them, deny water, strip them, threaten them, sexually assault them, and break them down until they’re barely functioning.

And now we have even more details — documented by lawmakers themselves — about what she’s been subjected to: shackling and blindfolding, denial of food and water for the first 24 hours, stun grenades and gas canisters used in poorly ventilated cells, forced stress positions that caused severe chest pain, exposure to infectious skin disease, rat‑infested mattresses.

Women who come out of these places talk about rape. They talk about being kept in rooms so hot they hallucinate. They talk about guards who treat them like objects. They talk about being denied sleep for days. They talk about being left hungry, dizzy, sick, terrified. They talk about being screamed at for hours, shoved, slapped, tied, humiliated. Nothing about this has changed. It’s a system of torture Israel has perfected.

Israel doesn’t need charges. Evidence is non-existent. They certainly don’t need a farce trial. They can hold her indefinitely under “administrative detention,” which is just a sanitized phrase for “we can disappear you whenever we want.” And now they’re claiming she was connected to some student activism group — al‑Qutub — which they try to link to the PFLP. Her lawyer already said whatever “evidence” they’re waving around was likely extorted under pressure, and involvement in al‑Qutub isn’t even illegal.

And the United States — her country — has done absolutely shit for her.

The State Department is silent.

The White House is silent.

Congress is mostly silent, except for the few who actually give a damn. Even after embassy staff visited her twice — twice — and reported the conditions she’s in, nothing has changed. No intervention. No demands. No consequences.

The Truth About the Biggest Act of Domestic Terrorism in American History

The story Saagar Enjeti lays out is simple and ugly: America didn’t stumble into a culture of gambling, porn, and drugs. It was built. It was engineered. And it was pushed by people who knew exactly what they were doing and exactly who would pay the price.

Another week of Gaza’s Forgotten Families is complete. Initiative #14 continued our emergency water distributions across Central and Northern Gaza, continuing to serve camps and communities where clean drinking water remains scarce, irregular, or completely unavailable without outside support.

This week also showed exactly why repeat distributions matter because one truck of water does not solve a camp’s water crisis.

Families drink it, cook with it, wash with it, and then they need water again.

It is a critical ongoing need to have access to clean, safe water.

Central Gaza — Alaa and Team

Throughout the week, Alaa and the Central Gaza team continued delivering water to Al-Israa, Al-Muhibeen School, Camp 2, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Bustan, Al-Muhibeen, Al-Aman and Al-Dahyan.

Several of these are communities we have served before.

Ard Al-Israa in particular continues to depend heavily on our deliveries because water trucks do not reach the camp regularly. On August 20, Alaa returned there again after serving Al-Muhibeen.

On August 18, the team completed four separate water deliveries in a single day, reaching Al-Muhibeen School and Camp 2, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Bustan and Ard Al-Israa.

But getting the water there wasn't simple.

While Water Truck #51 was on its way to Ard Al-Israa, it suddenly broke down. A mechanic was called and arrived about half an hour later. Luckily the truck was repaired, and instead of abandoning the delivery, the team continued to the camp and got the water to the families waiting for it.

Alaa summed up what these trucks represent:

“Every water truck carries more than just water; it carries hope, compassion, and a message to families that they are not alone, that there are those who remember them and stand by them.”

The difficulties continued on August 21 when the team suffered another vehicle breakdown while delivering to Aman Camp and Al-Dahyan School and Camp.

This time the vehicle couldn’t be repaired so the team and some helpers physically pushed the full water truck to the camp where families had been waiting a long time in the baking sun for water.

Both deliveries were completed.

# Northern Gaza — Abood

Abood's distributions this week show both the enormous scale of the need and why GFF continues returning to communities we've already served.

On August 18, 12,000 liters went to Al-Nasr Street and Kazem Street, reaching approximately 360 family/tent service instances.

Kazem is not new to us. Abood explained:

“This is not the first time this area has benefited from the Gaza’s Forgotten Families initiatives. The person responsible for the area contacts me regularly, but I try to schedule the distributions so that they can reach all the areas in need of water.”

Two days later, he returned to the Kazem area.

Why? Simply because they urgently needed water again.

More than 230 families benefited there that day, followed by another 80 families at Al-Yaqeen Camp.

Abood said Kazem is the area from which he receives the most calls because **they have not received support from another organization or source.

Going Where the Gaps Are

On August 21, Abood took another 12,000-liter truck to Hamamat Al-Salam and Al-Zahraa, two extremely remote camps surrounded by an area devastated by the Israeli occupation.

The truck was positioned directly between the two camps.

There are appapproximate160 families in each camp — about 1,280 people altogether.

The following day, another 4,500 liters went to the Carrefour area, where approximately 120 families received water.

But Abood made the problem painfully clear:

“If we had more water, many more families could have benefited.”

That sentence is essentially the story of our work right now.

There is always more people to serve than water to distribute.

Our Impact Through Initiative #14

Our new cumulative impact statement is above, and I want to clarify exactly what these numbers mean.

Across Initiatives 1–14, Gaza’s Forgotten Families has now distributed approximately 605,900 liters of clean water through 94 water trucks.

Our records represent 15,633 family/tent service instances, corresponding to an estimated 78,165 Palestinian beneficiary instances, using an average of five people per family or tent.

These are deliberately described as service and beneficiary instances rather than unique people.

Some families have received water from us more than once. Some camps appear repeatedly in our records. It reflects the reality of emergency water aid which is not a one off delivery. Water is needed every day and a few containers doesn’t go far with a family of thirsty people who might also need to cook food or use water for ablutions.

People need to drink water every day.

So we return as often as we can.

Our records currently represent 130 camp/area service visits**, including repeat visits to communities with continuing need.

That distinction matters to us because transparency matters to us.

# Initiative #15 Begins

Initiative #14 closes with $94.49 already carried forward toward Initiative #15.

The water crisis has not ended because another initiative has ended.

The phone calls continue. The camps we served this week will become thirsty again. And beyond them are other families waiting for a truck that may never come unless someone pays to send it.

This is why we keep going.

$25 becomes water. $100 becomes water. $200 becomes a truck. $4,000 allows our teams to operate across Northern and Central Gaza for approximately another week.

We cannot give every family in Gaza everything they need. But every time one of these trucks pulls into a camp, hundreds of people who were waiting for water can drink.

It starts with Derry’s history: a native Irish majority boxed into poverty while British settlers were handed political power through engineered borders. The city split into two worlds, one wealthy and protected, the other monitored and restricted.

In Hebron, where the imbalance is even more extreme, a few hundred Israeli settlers live inside a Palestinian city of tens of thousands, guarded by a dense military presence. Checkpoints, screenings, and daily obstruction define life for Palestinians. In 2020, the Israeli military moved to automate this system. They partnered with an AI firm to build “Keyron Smart City,” a surveillance stack meant to track every Palestinian movement.

Soldiers were given the Blue Wolf app—an AI facial‑recognition tool that turned photographing Palestinians into a game with leaderboards, quotas, and punishments. Later came Red Wolf, an automated checkpoint system that scans faces, decides who can pass, and can trigger arrests based solely on algorithmic flags.
